The Autism Strategy Act is established. It requires the government to establish a provincial autism strategy designed to improve the screening and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and support autism research. The strategy will identify ongoing supports and services needed by autistic persons and their families and caregivers. Annual reports will track the implementation of the measures identified in the strategy. The strategy must be reviewed and updated every five years.
